Woodland Tulip Festival fun!

Yes, yes two posts in one day! its a miracle, I figured heck why not since I'm already here ;-) A few weeks back the hubby and I took the kiddos to the Woodland Tulip festival. Well really if you want the truth I made plans, posted it to Facebook and that's how Chris found out we were going to the
festival..sneaky I know but the end result was GREAT! I actually found out about said festival while we were standing in line at my new fav produce joint here in Vancouver waiting to see the Easter bunny (speaking of which I should probably get those adorable pictures out of my glove box!) and as I've always wanted to go to a tulip festival how could I resist! The kids had a great time and so did we; our little flower child Michaela couldn't stop smelling all the flowers and I can't wait for us to have our own house and move out of our apartment so she can have all the flowers her little heart desires. I think Mason thought I was nuts sitting him among the rows of tulips but he was so darn cute! Alyssa had fun looking for ladybugs in the flowers and Chris patiently waited for us to leave the fields of flowers and was awesome at positioning kids for me to snap pictures of; what a great husband!

Back again :-)

Big sisters with baby Mason
So much for updating this blog more regularly! However in my own defense it's been a heck of a year or so around here. Since I last updated this we've welcomed our son Mason into this crazy world in July 2011, moved to Vancouver, switched jobs a few times, and I've taken an unintentional year off of school. Your know what they say "we plan and God laughs"; well to say the least we've rolled with the punches and made it through.

We're currently looking forward to the coming summer but at the same time its a bit bittersweet as we will be celebrating Mason's 1st birthday! Alyssa will be moving into second grade this fall and then will be 8 years old in January, and our darling little Michaela will be 3; needless to say time just goes so quickly when you have little ones. As if that isn't enough I'll be heading back to school at Clark College this fall AND we are currently working towards purchasing our very first home! Lots of excitement so say the least.
