So its been a long while since my last post to my blog and a lot has changed in that time. The girls are doing great and have each celebrated yet another birthday so we now have Alyssa (6) and Michaela (16 mos) and they have discovered the joys of irritating each other much to my...irritation ;-).
We have celebrated another Thanksgiving here in our home with my parents the in-laws. We have a new neice who weighs nearly as much as our 16 month old at 3 almost 4 months. Not to mention the loads of snow that we had this last month of February ALMOST March! I am in my second quarter of college course work and boy has it been a crazy quarter! In October my hubby was laid off from his job and while we have been greatful for all the time we have been able to spend as a family we are REALLY ready for him to head back to work ;-) I feel as if I am skipping over some pretty monumental things like the fact that Mickey as her daddy calls her started walking at 11 months and is now climbing every surface in our house ( I have yet to see her climb our TV or the counters but I am sure thats coming) and is perhaps a future computer programmer (which I am sure my Dad will be simply ecstatic about).
We also found out in November that we'll be adding one more bundle of
craziness joy to our lovely family in July! And just last week we discovered that we can start buying BLUE for our little boy. You simply cannot put into words how ecstatic my husband is to have another male in the house. So now comes the transistion of moving Michaela into Alyssa's room and Michaela and the baby's things into Alyssa's room as its the bigger room and planning a gender neutral room that will keep us all happy. Alyssa is over the moon to have a little brother coming and is super helpful and while Michaela doesn't really get the whole new baby thing she thinks its really funny to blow raspberries on my belly, wack it, and kiss it depending on her mood which I think is just adorable! So watch out world here comes another Smith and HOPEFULLY I will be better at updating this blog with bits and pieces of our daily lives for you all to follow along and enjoy the ride right along with us! and bring on the sewing and knitting!!
